Kimono, Vanishing Tradition: Japanese Textiles of the 20th Century 2nd Edition

I met this great book “Kimono, Vanishing Tradition” through my friend who is a great textile artist and introducing some pieces of her work in this book.

Japanese traditional clothes/dress “Kimono” is now getting popular along with other Japanese traditional culture.  Nowadays, there are so many sources to get information online however, some of them are very stereotyped and/or, not really helpful.

This book provides an overview of various traditional garments, introduces types of designs found in twentieth century kimono that are still available, and presents wearable art and home décor inspired by kimono from contemporary artists.  Very end of the book, there are glossaries so readers can fully understand words.

I recommend this book for anyone who are interested in fashion, textile, designs, colors and patterns.

The book is available on Amazon.  Just click the link in below.  Now, available in special price!
